1. One-Year Legal Labor Warranty<\/b><\/div>

\u2013 Hourly labor rate: $0
\u2013 Prepayment required: $0 (none)
a.<\/b>\u00a0Coverage: This warranty includes defects in workmanship, installation errors, and manufacturing defects requiring repair. These items are covered during the first year following the installation of your air conditioning or heating system.
b.<\/b>\u00a0Exclusions: It does not cover:
\u2013 Damage caused by improper use or neglected maintenance.
\u2013 Unauthorized modifications to the equipment (such as the installation of a new thermostat not installed by Confort MH or the modification of device settings, etc.)
\u2013 Natural disasters.
\u2013 Unnecessary or abusive requests for repairs.
\u2013 Vandalism.
\u2013 Non-payment.
\u2013 Violation of the terms of the contract.<\/p>

2. Extended Labor Warranty (after the first statutory year, if applicable)<\/b><\/div>

\u2013 Hourly labor rate: $0
\u2013 Prepayment required: $350 (deductible fee)
a.<\/b>\u00a0Conditions: The extended warranty includes all labor costs, subject to an initial deductible of $350. This amount may be adjusted annually based on the cost of living.
For example: If a technician performs a 6-hour repair ($150\/hour) with a $200 travel fee, the total would normally be $1,100. However, thanks to the extended labor warranty, you will only be charged the initial $350 deductible.
b.<\/b>\u00a0Exclusions: It does not cover:
\u2013 Damage caused by improper use or neglected maintenance.
\u2013 Unauthorized modifications to the equipment (such as the installation of a new thermostat not installed by Confort MH or the modification of device settings, etc.)
\u2013 Natural disasters.
\u2013 Unnecessary or abusive requests for repairs.
\u2013 Vandalism.
\u2013 Any defect in a device or equipment that was not installed by Confort MH.
c.<\/b>\u00a0Repairs: According to the OPC article, repairs are guaranteed for three months. If the problem persists within this period, Confort MH will carry out the necessary work at no additional cost. After this period, a new deductible will be charged.
d.<\/b>\u00a0Limitations: The extended warranty covers only labor and excludes parts or materials, such as refrigerant loss.<\/p>

3. Extended Warranty Claim Process<\/b>
a.<\/b>\u00a0Notification: The customer must inform Confort MH as soon as any problem covered by the extended warranty arises. The date of this notification will be used to determine whether the customer is still covered by the warranty.
b.<\/b>\u00a0Prepayment: In order to schedule an appointment, a franchise fee of $350 (plus taxes) will be required for all clients not covered by the one-year legal warranty on labor.
c.<\/b>\u00a0Diagnosis: Confort MH will carry out a diagnosis to determine the validity of the claim.
d.<\/b>\u00a0Repairs: If the claim meets the exclusion criteria mentioned above, Confort MH will carry out the necessary repairs at no additional cost. If the claim is rejected, service fees will be charged, deducting the initial prepayment.<\/p>

4. Customer Responsibilities<\/b>
The customer must:
\u2013 Follow the manufacturer\u2019s maintenance recommendations (for example, change the filter regularly).
\u2013 Provide secure and appropriate access to Confort MH technicians.
\u2013 To be present during the work.
If the customer is not present for the appointment and this absence prevents the technician from completing the repair, an additional $200 travel fee will be automatically charged, regardless of whether the customer is under warranty. Therefore, it is important to notify Confort MH at least 24 hours in advance of any cancellation or change to the appointment to avoid any additional charges.<\/p>

5. Cancellation of the warranty<\/b>
Confort MH reserves the right to cancel the warranty in the event of:
\u2013 Damage caused by improper use or neglected maintenance.
\u2013 Unauthorized modifications to the equipment (such as the installation of a new thermostat not installed by Confort MH or the modification of device settings, etc.)
\u2013 Natural disasters.
\u2013 Unnecessary or abusive repair requests.
- Vandalism.
\u2013 Non-payment.
\u2013 Violation of the terms of the contract.<\/p>

6. Changes to the conditions<\/b>
Confort MH may modify these conditions with prior notice to the customer.<\/p>

7. Limitation of Liability<\/b>
Confort MH's liability is limited to repair or reimbursement of labor costs, according to the terms of the warranty.<\/p>

8. Applicable Law<\/b>
These conditions are governed by the laws in force in the jurisdiction of the installation.<\/p>

9. Labor Costs Not Included in Warranty<\/b><\/div>

\u2013 Minimum charge for a service call: $350 (this rate includes travel expenses as well as diagnosis or one hour of labor.)
\u2013 Travel expenses: $200 per visit.
\u2013 Diagnostic: $150
\u2013 Hourly labor rate: $150 (this rate also includes tool wear and tear and small equipment used by the technician during the intervention.)
\u2013 Price per pound of refrigerant gas: $78\/lb
a.<\/b>\u00a0Billing: Fees are rounded up to the nearest 30-minute increment. For example, a 2 hour 13 minute intervention will be billed as 2 hours 30 minutes.
b.<\/b>\u00a0Repairs: According to the OPC article, repairs are legally guaranteed for three months. If a problem persists within this period, Confort MH will carry out the necessary work at no additional labor cost. After this period, a new repair will be billed.<\/p>

10. Extended manufacturer's warranty on parts and condenser<\/b><\/div>
If an extended warranty is offered by the manufacturer, it is the customer's responsibility to take the necessary steps to obtain it.
